About Me

"there’s one thread that runs through

everything I do, it’s people."

My name is Sarah Miller, I didn’t arrive in training and education in a straight line.

In fact, my career has been a wonderfully varied mix of music, education, teaching, performance, and real-life, hands-on learning. But looking back, it all makes perfect sense. Whether I was in a classroom, on a stage, or working alongside communities,

was always doing the same thing: helping people find their voice, understand one another, and grow.

These days, I’m proud to say that training and education sit right at the heart of my work.

My journey into professional training really took shape through my work with

Steven Talbot Consultancy. What started as a collaboration rooted in shared teaching experience quickly became something much bigger. With the right mentorship, a lot of reading, and a fair bit of courage, I stepped into delivering training to frontline professionals - and I haven’t looked back since.

I’ve worked with people from all walks of life – from educators, frontline staff, housing officers to maintenance teams - and what I love most is creating spaces where learning feels human. Where people can laugh, reflect, challenge themselves, and leave feeling more confident than when they walked in.

Over time, I’ve developed and delivered a range of courses that reflect both

my experience and my passion for meaningful, practical learning.

These include:

·       Trauma-Informed Practice

·       Neurodiversity in the Workplace

·       Equality & Diversity

·       Dealing with Potential Aggression

·       Conflict Management  (including my much-loved From Clash to Collaboration)

·       Safeguarding Hidden Vulnerabilities

·       Empathy Fatigue….and many more!

Each course is built not just on theory, but on real-world experience — the kind that resonates with people doing challenging, important work every day.

Before all of this, I spent many years in education - lecturing in Music and Drama at Universities, teaching in both mainstream and Learning Disability settings in Further Education, and supporting hundreds of students in finding confidence and identity through creative expression. Those experiences shaped everything I bring into the training room now: empathy, adaptability, and a deep respect for every individual’s story.

And yes - I’m still a musician too. Because creativity doesn’t switch off. It feeds into everything I do, especially how I design and deliver training.

My sessions are engaging, interactive, and never, ever, just “death by PowerPoint!”

At the core of it all, I believe this

"People learn best when they feel safe, respected,

and genuinely involved.

That’s what I aim to create — every single time."
